Finding the Best HVAC Experts Tampa
A series of steps that have been divided into three parts result to AC installation. Installation of the indoor unit is the first step which has other sub steps to it. There are some dos and don’ts that need to be observed during selection of an unobstructed location on the interior wall to mount the indoor air conditioning unit.
Avoiding direct sunlight and heat sources, installing the unit at least one meter away from the antenna, connecting lines, power, radio, television, telephones etcetera, the wall should be strong enough to hold the weight of the unit and avoiding locations where oil mist exists or gas may leak are some of the dos and don’ts during selecting a unobstructed location of mounting plate.
Securing the mounting plate to the interior wall is the next sub step in which has some series of steps. They include holding the mounting plate against the wall, using a level to make sure the plate is horizontally level, drilling holes into the wall at appropriate spots to affix the plate to the wall and finally inserting plastic anchors into the holes. The third step is creation of a hole in the wall to fit the piping and involves a three sub step procedure. Finding the best spot for the hole to the exterior based on the opening in the mounting bracket, drilling a hole that has a diameter of about eight centimeters through the wall in which the slope should be downward toward the exterior and finally inserting a flexible flange into the hole are the procedures of creating a hole in the wall for piping.
The fourth step involves checking the electrical connections which involves lifting the unit’s front panel, removing the cover and being sure the cable wires are connected to the screw terminals. Connecting of the pipes follows suit coupled with other procedures. The procedure includes; running the piping from the indoor unit toward the hole drilled through the wall, cutting a length of PVC pipe shorter than the length between the exterior and interior surfaces of the wall, placing the pipe cap on the interior end of the PVC pipe, binding the copper pipes the power cables and drain pipes together using an electrical tape, securing the pipe to the indoor unit, joining the water drainage to the indoor unit’s base and running the bound pipes and cables through the hole in the wall.
The final step to the first part of AC installation which is installation of the indoor unit is securing the indoor unit to the mounting plate by pressing the unit against the mounting plate. Installation of the outdoor condenser is the second step in AC installation. Installation of the outdoor unit also involves choosing the best place to the outdoor unit. A concrete pad is used to level and lay the ground as a sub step of installation of outdoor unit. So that the condenser sits above the winter levels then the pad should be high enough.
